Canaan Healthfoods began with a young medical technologist's dream while working in the haematology department in Singapore's leading hospital. She encountered terminally ill patients daily only to notice that most of them died while undergoing aggressive treatment. From the patients' blood count, she observed that those who did not survive had a compromised immune system. Their bodies had weakened too much to fight due to the lack of nourishment.
